  back! 🚀\nThe Crick Innovation Challenge is a dynamic week-long hackathon-
 style programme bringing together early-career researchers passionate abou
 t innovation\, entrepreneurship\, and the future of science.\nTaking place
  from 27th–31st July 2026 at the Francis Crick Institute in London\, the p
 rogramme welcomes MSc students\, PhD candidates\, postdoctoral researchers
 \, clinicians\, engineers\, and scientific staff from across the UK.This y
 ear\, we are proud to collaborate with Conception X\, the Advanced Researc
 h + Invention Agency (ARIA)\, Renaissance Philanthropy & more.We encourage
  people from outside the Golden Triangle to apply\, as we can provide trav
 el bursaries.No previous startup experience\, business idea\, or team is r
 equired — just curiosity\, creativity\, and enthusiasm to collaborate.\nTh
 roughout the week\, participants will:\nJoin multidisciplinary teams to ta
 ckle frontier scientific and planetary challenges\nTake part in ideation w
 orkshops\, expert-led panels\, and venture-building sessions\nLearn practi
 cal skills in pitching\, intellectual property\, entrepreneurship\, and in
 novation\nReceive mentorship and feedback from leaders across academia\, b
 iotech\, venture capital\, and industry\nBuild lasting connections with li
 ke-minded innovators\nOur goal is for every participant to leave inspired\
 , empowered\, and better equipped to translate scientific ideas into real-

 xt Frontier of Discovery\nAI is rapidly transforming how science is conduc
 ted — from interpreting complex biological data to designing experiments a
 nd accelerating discovery. This challenge explores how AI can become an ac
 tive collaborator in the scientific process and reshape the future of rese
 arch.\n🌍 Planetary Bioengineering: Engineering Ecosystems at Scale\nSynthe
 tic biology and bioengineering are opening new possibilities to work with 
 nature at planetary scale — from carbon capture and nitrogen fixation to e
 ngineered ecosystems designed for a changing climate. This challenge focus
 es on bold solutions at the intersection of biology\, sustainability\, and
  climate innovation.\n🧠 Expanding Human Potential: Redefining the Limits o
 f Biology\nAdvances in neuroscience\, regenerative medicine\, longevity sc
 ience\, and brain-computer interfaces are pushing the boundaries of human 
 biology. This challenge explores technologies that could reshape ageing\,
