SUMMARY:What Clients Actually Break On WordPress Sites
LOCATION:WOTSO North Sydney
DESCRIPTION:Saved in Palaner as: saved\n\nPalaner match: 26% · why: lots of
people going\n\nMost WordPress sites do not fall apart because of one dra
matic failure. They slowly drift out of shape through normal use\, ordinar
y edits\, unclear permissions\, and well-meaning changes made by people tr
ying to get their work done.\n\nThat is the awkward reality of building we
bsites for real organisations. The launch version may be clean\, tested\,
and carefully structured\, but six months later the site has met editors\,
  managers\, contractors\, plugin updates\, urgent content changes\, and so
meone who “just needed to quickly fix the homepage”.\n\nThis session looks
at the common places WordPress sites get damaged after handover\, includi
 ng content editing\, user permissions\, plugin decisions\, SEO changes\, f
orms\, layout control\, and content governance.\n\nThe bigger question is
not how to stop clients touching their own websites. It is about building
WordPress systems with enough guardrails so that normal human behaviour do
es not quietly turn into technical debt\, broken layouts\, lost leads\, or
avoidable support problems.\n\nNote: this is a rescheduled event.\n\nYou'
ll walk away with:\n✅ A clearer way to spot the predictable break points i
n client-managed WordPress sites\n✅ A practical mental model for deciding
where clients need freedom\, and where they need guardrails\n✅ Better judg
 ement around permissions\, editing access\, plugin decisions\, and post-ha
ndover risk\n✅ A simple way to think about WordPress sites as ongoing syst
 ems\, not finished launch artefacts\n\n🎯 Who's It For?\nIn-person event\n\
nWordPress enthusiasts\, freelancers\, digital managers\, and site owners
who already work with WordPress and want to move beyond surface-level tuto
rials.\nThis session assumes basic WordPress familiarity. It’s not designe
 d for complete beginners.\n\nFormat\n\nIn-person Event\nArrive 6:30 for pr
e-networking\nTalk starts at 6:45.\n\n👉 Host: Wil Brown\, Zero Point Devel
opment\n\nThank you to Stone Digital for sponsoring the venue.
