 eople experience rock climbing and be part of a fun\, active group of clim
 bers. It was founded by Morgan and Lera of eartH2Ocean and has been runnin
 g for a few years now. We’re fortunate to have an amazing bunch of regular
 s of all levels who started their climbing passion with us! So whether you
  are new or a seasoned legend\, please don't hesitate to come along and jo
 in us!\n\nNewcomers\nIf it’s your first time\, aim to arrive just before 6
 pm as they start the belay lessons on the hour\, every hour (belaying is p
 art of the climbing experience\, so you’ll need to be signed off before yo
 u can belay another climber). Once you are signed off though\, you won’t n
 eed to do it again! To speed up the process\, please head to Extreme Edge’
 s website below and sign the waiver before coming in. Just look for the bl
 ue ‘Sign our waiver’ tab at the bottom right corner. Alternatively\, you c
 an sign the waiver when you first arrive (just leave five minutes or so to
  finish that and get your gear before the lesson).\n\nhttp://www.extremeed
 ge.co.nz/\n\nGetting Started\nWhile we list a start time of 6pm\, the Meet
 up is really an opportunity for regulars to meet and find small groups to 
 climb with (normally in twos or threes). So we don’t really have a dedicat
 ed starting time or a regular place to meet. So when you arrive\, just loo
 k out for the hosts Chris and Rob or any other regulars or members who hav
 e signed up for the event. If it’s early\, they’ll probably be warming up 
 on the walls near to where the belay lessons are held. Please don’t be shy
 \, just introduce yourselves and we’ll help out in any way we can!\n\nIf y
 ou have any questions\, just post them in the comment’s section and we’ll 
 do our best to answer. If we can\, we’ll arrange to meet you otherwise\, I
 ’m sure you’ll bump into us on the wall! Quite a few of our regulars also 
 just show up and don’t put their name down\, so on most nights you’re almo
 st guaranteed to find someone to climb with.\n\nWhy Rock Climbing?\nRock c
 limbing is one of the best activities you can do if you love to challenge 
 yourself both physically and mentally. It is a great way to workout while 
 having fun and making friends. So please come along and try something new!
 !!\n\nDate & Time\nWe aim to host at Extreme Edge every week on a Wednesda
 y night. People normally arrive between 6pm and 7pm and climb through to a
 round 8:30pm. If you arrive a bit late to join in belay lesson\, don’t wor
 ry\, you can climb with any of the other regulars who are signed off (you 
 just can’t belay yourself) or you can warm up on the bouldering wall or br
 ave one of the auto-belays! (these are automated devices that allow you to
  climb on your own).\n\nLocation\nExtreme Edge Rock Climbing\, 32 Morrin R
 oad\, Saint Johns\, Panmure at the end of a long driveway. Parking is limi
 ted\, so come before 6pm if you want a spot near the building\, otherwise 
 you might need to park along the street and walk a short distance.\n\nWhat
  to Bring\n\nHarnesses are included as part of the entry fee and you can h
 ire shoes at reception if you don’t have your own (shoes are highly recomm
 ended). If you have your own harness\, climbing shoes or a chalk bag\, bri
 ng them along. Otherwise just wear comfortable clothes to move in and a wa
 ter bottle.\n\nCost\n\nAdult (16yrs or over) + harness = $30.\nAdults (16y
 rs or over) with their own harness get a $5 discount.\nAdults with valid s
 tudents ID’s\, AURAC club members\, Alpine club members and people from NZ
  Defence Force receive a 10% discount.\nClimbing shoes are an extra to hir
 e\, just ask at the desk.\n\nFood & Drinks\nLimited snacks and drinks are 
 available for purchase at Extreme Edge.\n\nRSVP\nIf it’s your first time\,
  please RSVP so we can look out for you. Otherwise\, just turn up and join
  in!\n\nPhotos\nPlease be aware that during events we may be taking photos
  that these may be used to share the groups activities and possibly for ma
 rketing purposes. By participating in the events\, you give permission for
  us to use images for such purposes.\n\nDisclaimer\nWe are not a tour comp
 any business. We organise trips on your behalf because we are passionate a
