 e've never done: a whole night on the back of the body.\n\nI'll be honest 
 — I don't teach much back work in my classes\, and for good reason. Lying 
 face-down for long stretches gets uncomfortable\, and energy flows from fr
 ont to back anyway\, so you're never really neglecting it.\n\nBut "never n
 eglecting it" isn't the same as giving it your full attention. And when yo
 u do\, there's a lot on offer:\n\nThe back is where we store what we can't
  face. It's the part of ourselves we can't see and can't reach — so that's
  where things go to sit quietly. Old burdens between the shoulder blades. 
 Fear in the kidneys. The effort of holding ourselves up\, day after day\, 
 held in the spine.\nThe back chakras are a different doorway. Same chakras
 \, different angle — and working them from behind reaches things the front
  doesn't.\nIt's deeply relaxing. There's something about being worked on f
 rom behind that lets people drop their guard completely.\n\nHence\, our Re
 iki Back Healing Night. We'll do a meditation to soften and open the back 
 body\, then a group healing where we work the spine\, the kidneys\, the ba
 ck of the heart\, and the back chakras.\n\nCome along and let someone else
