  is a project meant to highlight works by women writers that were original
 ly written in languages other than English. Meetup is currently having som
 e problems with links\, but if you are interested\, there is a website for
  the project that you can find by searching for "Women in Translation Mont
 h." For this event please bring a work of fiction that was written by a fe
 male author\, and has been translated into English. However\, I know that 
 we have many members who have native languages other than English\, so you
  are also more than welcome to bring a book that has not been translated a
 s long as it is in a language other than English and was written by a woma
 n\, Please only attend if you will bring a book that suits the topic. Othe
 rwise I hope to see you at a future\, un-themed event! Thank you for your

  where you can bring any fictional or literary book that you want to talk 
 about!\nDo you want to talk about the books that you read\,\nbut don't hav
 e any bookish friends?\nDo you want to take part in a book club\,\nbut don
 't want to have to read a specific book?\nDid you just read a great book a
 nd want to tell someone about it?\nIf so\, then this might be the book clu
 b for you!\nI noticed that all of the English language book events that I 
 could find in Tokyo were the classic style of book club\, where everyone r
 eads the same book and discusses it. Instead\, I'm hoping to start a book 
 club that's more similar to a Japanese-style "dokusho-kai"\, where everyon
 e can bring a book that they just read or an old favorite and introduce it
  to the group. I want to create a space where English native speakers and 
 non-native speakers alike can talk about their favorite books in English. 
 All you\nneed to do is bring a book that you want to talk about! (Please n
 ote that as is implied by the name of the group\, I ask that you bring a w
 ork of fictionー no business books\, etc.)\nWhat to expect on the day of:\n
 ・4:30pm-4:35pm: check in and get comfortable\n・4:35-4:40: self-introductio
 ns\n・4:40pm-6:20pm talk about your book\n・6:20 pm: clean up and get ready 
 to go home\nLocation: Near Nippori station (I have rented a conference roo
 m\, and will share the exact address with participants the night before)\n

 oks\, please keep it to yourself\n・Discussions are encouraged\, but please
  don't talk over others or hijack someone else's turn to give your opinion

 w!\nさて、東京フィクションサークルの読書会はなんでしょうか？\n英語の小説限定の読書会です！池袋のレンタルスペースにて好きな英語の本を持ち込み、
 みんなが好きな本について紹介し合う会です！\n欧米での読書会は、参加する全員が同じ本を読んで、英語で深く論じる会が基本です。ですが、私は日本の読書会
 のようにみんなが好きな小説を持ち寄って紹介し合う会を作りたいんです！対象の本は小説・フィクションとなります。 ビジネス書等の持ち込みはお控えください
 。\n読書会の言語は英語ですが、ネイティブ以外の方も大歓迎！もし英語で説明しづらい、わからないことがあれば当日主催者がお手伝いいたしますのでご安心く
 ださい。ただし、英語学び会でなく、英語が読める、英語が話せる方が対象となります。\n自分のお気に入りの本を、みんなで共有し合いましょう！\n★以下の

 スですが、\n詳細はイベント前日の夜に、参加する方にのみお伝えします。\n★ルール\n・他の人が持ってきた本を批判しないこと\n・他の人の本の紹介を
 遮らないこと\n・持ってくる本は小説やフィクションだけであること\n★注意事項\n・営業・告知・引き抜き・しつこいナンパ・暴言などは禁止です。\n・
 宗教、ビジネス等、種類を問わず各種勧誘行為は禁止です。\n・過度なナンパ行為や迷惑行為は禁止です。\n・他の参加者のプライバシーを尊重しない行動も禁
