SUMMARY:Riverside Gardens\, Baigup Wetlands\, Maylands Peninsula & Kuljuk I
 sland (13km)
LOCATION:Milne Street
DESCRIPTION:Saved in Palaner as: saved\n\nPalaner match: 11% · why: lots of
people going\n\nAn easy walk for a Thursday morning!\nThis is a slightly
longer variation on our Riverside Gardens walk. A brisk start to the day s
ees us heading to the Baigup Wetlands through to the Maylands Peninsula ac
ross the river to Kuljak Island before returning back to the start.\nFinis
h off with my favourite café on the river\, The Oarhouse is awesome!\nJust
about 2.5 hours of walking plus coffee afterwards.\nDifficulty: The long
range forecast suggests a chilly day with temperatures from 13°C when we s
et off to 16°C when we sit down for a coffee. At this stage the morning is
predicted to be slightly cloudy with a chance of rain in the early aftern
oon. There are no mountains to climb on this walk along the Swan River. Ex
pect a spirited walking pace of about 5.5 - 6km/h. The tracks are level an
d paved most of the way with a few compacted dirt paths. The distance and
pace will suit regular walkers.\nWhere?: MeetUp exactly at the pin drop by
clicking on the map.\nParking: There is plenty of parking near the meetin
 g point.\nWhat to bring: Water\, good walking shoes\, hat & sunscreen and
a chair would be good.\nToilets: At the Oarhouse Café and possibly the Kil
n Café.\nCafè: The Oarhouse has a well deserved reputation for its muffins
and other gastronomic delights and the coffee is the best in this area. T
his is a very popular café\, we might need to take our own chairs so leave
one in your car.\nAlltrails map Riverside Gardens\, Baigup Wetlands\, May
