 deserve to be seen!\n\nThe Rainbow Dragons are marching in the Manchester 
 Village Pride Parade this year. Please be aware the sign up for this event
  closes on Monday 24th August as final numbers have to be provided for lia
 bility.\n\nThis years Manchester Village Pride is being entirely community
  run. With businesses and community groups from the village itself organis
 ing the entire event\, it will likely feel different to other years. The b
 ig corpo sponsors have been turned away\, returning pride back to a more g
 rass-roots approach. And we're so in!\n\nOfficial statement from this year
 s organisers:\n'Manchester Village Pride is a simple idea: Pride belongs t
 o the people.\nFollowing the collapse of the previous organiser in late 20
 25\, there was a\nreal risk that our city's cornerstone celebration would 
 disappear\, and the\nParade - something that our city has seen annually fo
 r the last 40+ years -\nhung in the balance. But Manchester doesn’t do "gi
 ving up."\nBusiness owners\, residents\, and activists from the Gay Villag
 e came\ntogether to form Manchester Village Pride CIC. We aren't a faceles
 s\ncorporation. We are your bartenders\, your drag artists\, your neighbou
 rs\, and your friends. And we are proud to be bringing you the 2026 Parade
 .'\n\nThe theme this year is No Place Like Home.\n\nSo let’s dress to impr
 ess\, wear our favourite fandom T-Shirts\, go all out in our awesome cospl
 ay\, (or wear some comfortable clothes) and show Manchester how amazing we
  are.\n\nWe have a banner that will lead the group and feel free to bring 
 or make your own.\n\nWe will be giving out Rainbow Dragon stickers on the 
 day (and yes you get to keep a sticker too - we’ll be buying extra this ye
 ar).\n\nThe specific details surrounding this years parade are still being
  ironed out\, so our exact meeting location is yet to be confirmed!! As so
 on as this is announced we will update you all. The parade has been confir
 med to be starting at 12\, so based on this (and previous years) we have s
 et a meet up time for 10\, be aware this may change. Public transport will
  be a nightmare on the day\, give yourself plenty of time. And please brin
 g plenty to drink!\n\nDogs/pets are not permitted on the route.\n(Service 
 animals are fine!)\n\nImportant Information - Please Read\n\nManchester Vi
 llage Pride Parade uses a wrist band system to ensure that only official m
 archers take part in the parade.\n\nFeel free to bring your friends with y
 ou on the day\, the more the merrier\, just please add additional guests t
 o your sign-up.\n\nWe will give out these wrist bands to everyone who has 
 signed up to the event on the day.
