  people going · starting soon\n\nCome join us for this beautiful 8/9 mile 
 hike to Muir Beach. We will start at the Dias Ridge Spur Trail head (where
  it meets Panoramic Highway) then hike the Miwok Trail/ Redwood Creek Trai
 l to Muir Beach. Before we take a lunch break we will hike to the top of t
 he "Secret Staircase" (to the top of where the beautiful houses overlook M
 uir Beach). We will then have lunch at Muir Beach and enjoy the sites.\n\n
 Note- The Dias Ridge Spur Trail head parking lot is larger and a safer pla
 ce to park than at the Dias Ridge Trail head.\n\nAfter lunch we will hike 
 back on the 3.5 mile Dias Ridge Trail (longer version past the horses).\n\
 nThe hike is approximately 8 miles (9 miles if you complete the secret sta
 ircase). You will have the option of skipping the staircase hike if you wa
 nt a more time at the beach.\n\nWe start at 10am so you can sleep in.\nWe 
 should be back at our cars around 3pm.\n\nPlease arrive around 9:50am to g
 ive you time to find a parking space along the side of the road near the t
 rail head.\n\nThere are bathrooms at Muir Beach. There is no fresh water a
 vailable on the hike.\n\nJoin us afterward for a beer/food at "The Junctio
 n."\n\nHiking pace: Medium to fast. Not for beginning hikers\, but a comfo
 rtable pace for experienced hikers. We hike at a pace where we can have a 
 nice conversation (2.5 MPH estimate)\n\nThere will not be any water availa
 ble on this hike so bring plenty (2 liters).\n\nPlease arrive a few minute
 s early. We will circle up on time and leave immediately afterwards.\n\nPl
 ease change your RSVP no more than 24 hours in advance if you cannot make 
 it. If you do not take yourself out of the hike more than 24 hours in adva
 nce or simply not show up (3 times) you will be removed from the group. Th
 ere may be people on the waiting list wanting to participate.
