 music at the end of the tour. Upside is less crowds at Pier I in Riverside

 cafe.com/\n\nAbout Lincoln Square: Spanning from 60th Street to 70th Stree
 ts\, this sprawling neighborhood between Central Park and the Hudson River
  has quite an array of environments and unique buildings from elegant pre-
 war architecture to what is essentially a new neighborhood on Riverside Bo
 ulevard. We'll also learn about the San Juan Hill neighborhood that pre-da
 ted Lincoln Center (built in the 1960s)\, which was a diverse African-Amer
 ican and Latinx community\, and was largely the inspiration for the musica
 l "West Side Story." The neighborhood was a legendary hotbed of musical in
 novation. —which contributed to everything from stride piano and bebop to 
 Afro-Cuban jazz\, mambo\, and bomba—greatlyly informing Leonard Bernstein 
 and Steven Sondheim's iconic\, genre-blending musical.\n\nOther stops incl
 ude the "Ghostbuster's Building\," on Central Park West\, the eclectic Wes
 t Side YMCA building\, and a really cool street that was one of NYC's firs
 t artist's colony in the early 1900s.\n\nMeeting place is the sitting area
 s within Columbus Circle by the statue.\nRestrooms available at the Deutsc
 he Bank Center (take the escalator up to the 2nd floor from the main lobby
 ). Please take care of business before the walk. There will also be restro
 oms at the end of the tour at Pier 1 in Riverside Park.\n\nPublic transpor
