 ter than anyone. They have trained intensively for two years and passed th
 e highest Tourist Guiding qualification in the UK.\n\nAbout the walk\nDulw
 ich Village is an affluent\, leafy area known for its pristine Georgian ar
 chitecture and tree-lined streets.\n\nIts name comes from Old English with
  a combination of the words 'dill' (the herb) and 'wihs' (a meadow or damp
  pasture)\, translating to "the meadow where dill grows".\n\nWe will hear 
 how an actor’s guilty conscience led to the foundation of almshouses and a
  famous school for boys. View the art gallery which is also a mausoleum\, 
 see London’s only remaining toll house\, walk through two delightful parks
  and finish in a real London village street.\n\nThe walk is a private walk
  for the group\, we will be guided by Blue Badge guide Diane Burstein.\n\n
 Getting There\nWest Dulwich Train Station is in Zone 3. You can get a trai
 n from Victoria Station at 1:57pm and 2:27pm. The journey takes 12 mins.\n
