SUMMARY:Amsterdam JUG Workshop: Spec-Driven Development with AI Agents
LOCATION:Gj IT
DESCRIPTION:Saved in Palaner as: saved\n\nPalaner match: 37% · why: lots of
people going\n\nAI coding agents can write code fast\, but speed without
structure is just chaos at scale. This hands on workshop (bring your own l
aptop) gives you a framework that makes AI a reliable\, auditable partner:
Spec-Driven Development (SDD).\n\nAnton Arhipov\, Java Champion and much
more (see bio below) is available at short notice for this free 2 1/2 hour
workshop in a friendly informal environment (with free lunch and drinks).
Join in and learn to lead an AI agent from high-level requirements throug
h a detailed plan\, a task list\, and all the way to working software\, st
ep by step\, with you in control at every stage.\n\nThe session is built a
round a single evolving application:\n\n1. We'll start with a batch applic
ation that imports CSV data into a database - simple enough to understand
end-to-end\, complex enough to feel real.\n2. Next\, we will add more func
tionality by turning the batch application into a Spring Boot web service.
\n3. To have more fun\, we'll build a web UI to visualize the data.\n\nWhi
le the agent does most of the work for writing code\, we will review and d
iscuss the results.\n\nWhat you'll take away:\n\nA practical SDD workflow
you can apply on your next project — with or without the exact tools shown
.\nHands-on experience directing an AI agent in IntelliJ IDEA through stru
ctured artifacts.\nThe confidence to add AI to your process without losing
ownership of your codebase.\n\nLimited seats available (super exclusive t
o 40\, maximum).\n\nAbout Anton Arhipov. Anton is a Developer Advocate at
JetBrains\, where he focuses on IntelliJ IDEA and the intersection of AI a
gents and developer tooling. A Java Champion since 2014 with a background
in server-side development\, he has spent over a decade building tools and
content for developers. These days\, you'll find him speaking at conferen
ces\, exploring agentic workflows\, and looking for ways to make the devel
opment experience smarter and more enjoyable.
