n\nSouth Core is a new and up and coming district centred on Lower Jarvis
Street and Queen's Quay East.\n\nOnce an industrial area of the old port l
ands\, South Core has become a new and exciting destination for residents
and tourists alike. With walking paths adjacent and Sugar Beach on the wat
erfront\, South Core is the place to stroll and learn about Toronto's hist
ory. This tour should be called "Back to the 50's."\n\nBut it also has a r
ather interesting history. Let's start with the Redpath Sugar complex whic
h opened in 1958. Adjacent to Sugar Beach\, several port facilities were b
uilt including the Queen Elizabeth Terminals for unloading produce enterin
g Canada. With the opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway\, Toronto built seve
ral more terminals which have been converted to residences. Grab a coffee
and relax in a most interesting part of Toronto.\n\nThis walk is for all f
itness levels. The meeting place for our walking adventure is the northwes
t corner of Sugar Beach on Queen's Quay East east at Lower Jarvis Street.
See you there! We will end at Cherry Street amid the new development there
with the widening of the Don River\, and all that glorious parkland! Let'
s explore\, on the perfect summer walk!\n\nThis tour has a ticket price of
$15.00 per person!\n\n\\ Please note: Please e-transfer the ticket price
