 alk\, led by volunteer Robert Hall\, is presented by Central London Humani
 sts for everybody who desires a fulfilling\, worthwhile and evidence-based
  path in life. Humanists believe we have just one life to be lived rationa
 lly and well\, with compassion for others.\n\nThis event is a guided walk 
 of +/- 1.75 hours pointing out places of interest. We will be walking 3 Km
  / 1.8 miles.\n\nSimilar to a walk which took place over 3 years ago\, thi
 s walk will have new features: totally new meeting up point with two very 
 different cafes adjacent\, a new yet-to-be opened museum in the middle\, p
 lus a different pub at the end for friendly socialising! We will catch up 
 with other changes in the area as well. We’ll see a circus university\; po
 ssibly the oldest square in London\; where the Kray twins were held in cus
 tody\; tales of 2 people named Blair\; the site of the first theatre\; tub
 e trains in the sky and where “the best loved man in England” died. Plus p
 lenty of Graffiti art!\n\nDate: Saturday 15th August 2026\n\nTime: 2 pm wi

 tion (Northern Line\, Bank branch) is almost adjacent to the meeting point
 . Take the Cowper Street exit and turn sharp right at the top of the exit 
 stairs.\n\nThe nearest toilets are at Gail’s or Greggs.\n\nFinishes: About
  4.00 pm at The Three Crowns\, 8 East Rd N1 6AD which is close to Old Stre
 et station. You are welcome to join us for optional refreshment and food\,
  if you wish.\n\nThe walk is led by Robert – 07981963681. He can be contac
 ted for further information but please note he won’t\nbe able to respond t
 o messages or calls after the walk has started.\n\nThe formal bit:\nThese 
 walks are not suitable for dogs\, sorry.\n\nCLH events are 18+ unless acco
 mpanied by a parent or guardian.\n\nIf you have signed up but find you can
 't attend\, please change your RSVP on Meetup (it’s very easy to do) as so
 on as possible so that a more accurate number of attenders can be estimate
 d.\n\nYou are responsible for your own actions and safety\; there is no li
 ability on the walk leader or CLH for anything that may happen on the walk
 .\n\nYou must be able to keep up with the walk leader at 4 Km/h (2.5 mph) 
 for 5 Km (3 miles). It is participants' responsibility to safely cross roa
 ds.\n\nWhere appropriate\, pedestrian controlled lights will be used and o
 beyed unless it is obvious that the whole group can cross safely.\n\nWhen 
 the group stops at a point of interest\, please be mindful not to block pa
 vements so members of the public can pass by safely.\n\nDon’t forget this 
 is the UK and it may rain at any time! The walk will go ahead whatever the
  weather unless conditions are dangerous so please bring clothing for all 
 seasons.\n\nA donation of £3 to Central London Humanists would be apprecia
 ted.\nThe majority of Central London Humanists events are free\, but we we
 lcome a £3 contribution per head. This helps towards the running and organ
 ising of events\, as well as various admin expenses. If you can't attend a
