  people going\n\nA 9-day trip (just 4-days off work!)\, including 7-days o
 f hiking the Skye Trail - an unmarked route of 127km (79 miles) through th
 e island of Skye.\n\nThere are no waymarks for the route and many sections
  do not even have a path.\n\nHowever the rewards as you walk south from th
 e most northerly point on the island are many in terms of:\nSpectacular mo
 untain views - passing under the shadow of the Jagged Cuillin\, the finest
  mountain range in Britain\;\nCoastal scenery - from beaches to cliff-tops
  in areas that are remarkable but almost unvisited\;\nHaunting ruins of de
 serted villages - destroyed in the highland clearances\, and\;\nThe superb
  opportunities for watching wildlife.\n\nThis route has been devised for t
 hose who prefer to get well away from the beaten track\n\nA trip never to

 et in Inverness (train station or airport) at 11am\, then drive to Isle of
  Skye for a short walk to your first wild camp location on the farthest no
 rthern point on the island\n\nSunday: Coastal hike to Flodigarry (17km)\nT
 he trail starts from Skye's most northerly tip\, Rubha Hunish\, and follow
 s a spectacular section of the coastline\, continuing above dramatic cliff
 s to reach Flodigarry for a night of wild camping\n\nMonday: Hike inland t
 o The Storr - Trotternish Ridge (25km)\nA slightly more challenging stage 
 climbs from Flodigarry beneath the amazing rock formations of The Quiraing
 \, continuing south on the Trotternish Ridge towards the Storr - this must
  be one of the most dramatic ridge traverses in Britain!\n\nThe day will e
 nd with a wild camp amongst the dramatic scenery of our surroundings\n\nTu
 esday: Cliff-top hike to Portree (18km) then Kayak to remote beach\nThe th
 ird stage of the Skye Trail\, takes a short walk to The old man of Storr b
 efore a descent to the road\, which leads to a fabulous parade along the t
 op of dramatic coastal cliffs with superb views.\n\nYou will restock suppl
 ies in Portree before you head out to sea on a kayak to your hidden beach 
 camp for the night (bags will be transported separately for you).\n\nAfter
  a 45minute kayak\, you will reach your secluded beach camp and set up ten
 ts in the remote bay before having dinner on the beach\n\nWednesday: Hike 
 to Sligachan (17 km)\nAfter a beachside breakfast\, you will pack away you
 r tents and hike\, mostly on road/easy tracks\, to Sligachan Campsite (and
  access to showers!)\n\nCheck in\, have a shower\, then head to the pub fo
 r a hearty dinner before retiring to bed under the mighty Cuillin Mountain
 s\n\nThursday: Hike below the mighty Cuillin mountains to Elgol (15km)\nTh
 is day we follow a good track through the remote Glen Sligachan (a valley 
 separating the mighty Black Cuillin with the Red Cuillin) to the beautiful
  bay at Camasunary . Arriving at the coast on the south-west of the island
 \, we will camp on the shores of the Atlantic ocean\n\nFrom here a vertigi
 nous cliff path with fantastic views across the water to the Cuillin\n\nYo
 u will set up camp on the coast for wonderful sunset views over the ocean 
 and the Cuillin mountains\n\nFriday: Hike on good trails to Torrin (17km)\
 nThe sixth stage presents a lovely day with great views to Sleat and the s
 mall isles\, ending at Torrin.\n\nDepending on the weather\, you may be sp
 ending your final night on a summit with views over the bay\, the ocean an
 d the mountains\, or next to a beach which often has visits from otters an
 d the local seal colony.\n\nSaturday: Coastal hike to Broadford (20km)\nTh
 e final stage follows the coast from Torrin to the cleared villages of Sui
 snish and Boreraig before heading inland to pick up the Marble Line\, the 
 old railroad route into Broadford and the end of the Trail.\n\nWe will the
 n check-in to our accommodation and celebrate the completion of the Skye T
 rail with a hearty meal and drinks\n\nSunday (AM)\nReturn to Inverness (ex
 pect to arrive around 2pm)\n\n\\\n9-days for an all inclusive price of jus
