 y August 6 to Wednesday August 5.\nBecause Thursday ferry gets back late.\
 nFerry now leaves Galiano at 4.45pm and takes 50 minutes.\nBudget one hour
  at least from then until back in Vancouver downtown area.\n\n2. MEET at B
 ridgeport Station Bay 12 at 8.45am.\nExpress bus leaves 9am. Any later bus
  gets to ferry too late for our boarding. It’s a slow and laborious proces
 s.\n\n3. I’m on Galiano right now\, investigating transportation options. 
 Looking into private taxi or Uber for 10km ride each way between Sturdies 
 Bay and Montague Harbour.\n\n4. There will be a daytrip to Mayne Island th
 is August\, and another Galiano outing - on a different day of the week. D
 epends on transportation options. Folk may need to rent e-bikes. $70 for f
 our hours\, but that’s too much\, do split that for two folk two hours eac
 h. I’m investigating. There’s shuttle between Sturdies and Montague for e-
 bike renters :)\n\n———————————-\n\nGaliano is an absolute gem\, and is the
  closest Gulf Island (other than Bowen) to Vancouver\, the ferry is only 5
 5 minutes each way.\n\nThe ferry is free for over 65\, and $21 for others 
 - PASSENGERS rate. The return fare is half the outgoing fare.\n\nPlease do
 n’t bring a car.\n\nAttractions:\nsemi Mediterranean climate.\nwhite shell
  beach at Montague Harbour Marine Park\nsandstone caves\ncliff walks\n\nFo
