  people going\n\nJoin us on Sunday\, 8th August\, for a day hike through t
 he Waiuku forest.\nEscape into nature as we explore a dynamic coastal envi
 ronment where towering pine trees meet the shore. Our route offers a great
  variety of landscapes\, taking us along quiet gravel forestry roads\, sof
 t sandy tracks\, and beautiful stretches of open coastline. A highlight of
  the trip includes a visit to a picturesque green lake hidden deep within 
 the pines.\n\n------------------------------------------------------------
 --------------\n❌ New members and regulars are welcome.\n\n❌If you find yo
 urself on the "waiting list" and decide to attend the hike on the day of t
 he event\, then please be aware that you will need to hike separately from
  the group. Only those listed as "Going" are considered valid participants
 .\nThere are no "plus ones". If you want to go\, you will need to register
  with meetup\n\n❌Individuals who are unfit or prefer a slower pace are kin
 dly requested not to RSVP. Slow people will hold up the group\, as everyon
 e will have to wait for you to catch up. There are alternative Meetup grou
 ps available for those who enjoy walking very slowly.\n\n❌If you are unabl
 e to attend\, please update your status to avoid a "No Show" being recorde
