 e story of the ideas\, inventions and elegant architecture that transforme
 d Berlin into one of the world's leading scientific and industrial capital
 s around 1900.\n\nWe'll cycle through the districts of Kreuzberg\, Tiergar
 ten\, Moabit\, Charlottenburg and Mitte\, discovering power stations\, res
 earch institutes\, engineering landmarks\, beautiful public buildings and 
 some of Berlin's finest examples of industrial architecture.\nWe'll finish
  with a beer together by the water.\n\nThe Tour\n\nWe will follow\, more o
 r less\, the "Innovation und Eleganz" Industrial Heritage Cycle Route\, be
 ginning at the Deutsches Technikmuseum before making our way through some 
 of Berlin's former industrial neighbourhoods.\nWe'll visit the pioneering 
 Kraftwerk Moabit\, the famous AEG Turbine Factory designed by Peter Behren
 s\, admire the elegant buildings of Charlottenburg. We'll also pass the fa
 mous KPM Porcelain Manufactory. We'll finish with a well-earned beer toget
 her beside the Spree.\n\nI am an accredited tour guide in Berlin\, special
 ising in telling stories about the city's industrial heritage. I ask for a
  contribution of €10 to help organise the tour and share my knowledge.\n\n

 cle and experience cycling around Berlin should be comfortable on this rou
