 ugh Kyoto’s Great Bamboo Forest\, the historic streets of Saga Toriimoto\,
  and the lush Canyon of Hozukyo for the opportunity to swim in blue crysta

 5km~ hike affords multiple views of Kyoto’s lush Hozukyo Canyon\, the oppo
 rtunity to swim or put one’s feet in the the stunning blue waters of a sid
 e canyon river\, a unique photo opportunity with a large collection of Jap
 an’s quirky Tanuki statues\, and more.\n\nWe will hike up the beautiful Ki
 nreikyo side canyon to the rustic mountain village of Kiyotaki\, and make 
 our way to the back entrance of the famous Arashiyama Bamboo Forest by way
  of the historic and less-traveled Saga Torimoto neighborhood\n\nTrain Fee

 tues\, and more.\n\nWe will hike up the beautiful Kinreikyo side canyon to
  the rustic mountain village of Kiyotaki\, and make our way to the back en
 trance of the famous Arashiyama Bamboo Forest by way of the historic and l
 ess-traveled Saga Torimoto neighborhood\n\nPlease bring comfortable walkin
 g or hiking shoes\, sunscreen\, plenty of water\, a bento\, a blue tarp or
  other ground covering for when we eat lunch\, and a swimsuit and shoes fo
 r the river if you wish to wade or take a dip.\n\nTHE PLAN:\n10:45-11:05 -
  Meet at Shin-Osaka Station outside the Midosuji Line Subway Gates\n11:05-
 11:15 - Proceed to JR Line train to Kyoto.\n11:20 - Train departs Shin-Osa
 ka for Kyoto\n11:44-11:52- Transfer to Sagano Line at Kyoto Station (we ar
 rive on track 2\, our train is on track 33)\n11:57 - train departs Kyoto f
 or Saga-Arashiyama\n12:18-12:30 - arrive at Hozukyo Station\, take picture
 s use the toilet.\n12:30-1:00 - walk to Hozukyo Torokko Station for a pict
