 our biggest personal challenges and social anxieties - There simply is no 
 better place to do it.\n\nWe'll not only show you how to speak effectively
  to a live audience\; we'll help you improve your online presence\, too.\n
 \nFirst-time (and returning) guests enjoy our simple exercises and learn u
 seful techniques for connecting with others.\n\nOur meetups are fast-paced
  and engaging - Difficult enough to be challenging\, but fun enough not to
  be intimidating. Experience it for yourself: You'll get to listen to prep
 ared speeches and learn simple yet effective speaking tips.\n\nWe are a ch
 apter of TOASTMASTERS International. We follow the time-tested Toastmaster
 s curriculum\, and throw in a few significant variations of our own.\n\nYo
 u are invited (not required) to participate in our two-minute impromptu sp
 eaking exercises. Plus a 30-second Round Robin\, where you'll introduce yo
 urself (talk very briefly about an interest\, or what brought you there).\
 n\nPretty basic. We have one requirement: enjoy yourself and get a sense o
 f how the meetups run. They start promptly at 6:50\, so please show up bef
 ore 6:45. They end at 8:45 pm.\n\nWho will you meet? People\n\nterrified o
 f addressing a group\nwho have passed up promotions because of their fear\
 nwho want to feel more comfortable speaking at work\nwho want to tell a st
 ory.... or organize their thoughts + think on their feet\nready to find co
 urage and tame their anxiety\n\nAs well as experienced speakers and evalua
 tors to learn from.\n\n\\ If you attend in person\, there should be some "
 open" (no-permit) parking nearby. [See map link below] We're in the Commun
 ity Room of the Station\, to the left as you enter.\n\n\\ If you wish to a
