ages since my phone is used for recordings.\n6:30 PM - Welcome & introduct
ions by Kevin Vanderbeken\n6:45 PM - Talks begin…\n\n⚛️ Hooks are Why Your
React App is a Dumpster Fire - Tyson Brown (LinkedIn) - 20min\nHere's Tys
on's Take: React spent a decade reinventing what .NET shipped in 2006\, an
d botched it. Hooks aren't an architecture\, they're the view layer cospla
ying as one. Redux\, Zustand\, Jotai\, Signals: five state libraries in te
 n years isn't innovation\, it's a smell. You keep migrating because none o
f them fixed the actual problem. MVVM did\, twenty years ago. ViewModels\,
dependency injection\, observable state\, logic you can test without rend
ering anything. Your /hooks folder with forty files in it is your codebase
admitting it needed an architecture and got primitives instead.\n\n⏱ Inte
 rmission - Networking / Food ~7:05pm - 25-30min\n\n⚡ Reducing Server Load
and Request Latency with Etags - Jason Sultana (jason.sultana.net.au) - 20
min\nLet's explore a practical approach to reducing both server load (win
for the backend) and request latency (win for the frontend) using etags an
d output caching.\n\n⏱ Closing - Safe trip home folks!\n\n❓ Why not volunt
eer to speak next time? We're taking talks anytime! https://brisjs.org/pre
