 tour: cash\, venmo or zelle.\n\nMeeting place: In front of the library.\n\
 nRestrooms before the Tour: Arrive early - restrooms inside the library wh
 ich is open luntil 6:00pm. Restrooms will be available at the end of the t
 our at the Empire Stores in DUMBO.\n\nOverview/Description\nBring your cam
 era! This walk will take us through the lovely streets of Brooklyn Heights
 \, America’s first commuter suburb and NYC’s first designated historic dis
 trict\, filled with quaint homes\, mansions and architectural treasures. S
 ome say it is NYC's most beautiful neighborhood. We'll talk cover Brooklyn
 's history as an independent city until 1898 and how it has managed to mai
 ntain a unique identity\, separate from the rest of NYC.\n\nWe will stop b
 y a church where Abraham Lincoln visited and gained inspiration to issue t
 he Emancipation Proclamation\, and stroll the streets frequented by famous
  American authors and learn about the literary history of the neighborhood
 . We’ll take in the spectacular views of the city and the harbor and learn
  about the Battle of Brooklyn including General George Washington’s pivota
 l escape across the East River with 9\,000 troops to preserve the American
  Revolution on August 29\, 1776.\n\nAt the end of the tour\, optional afte
 rparty in DUMBO\, located downhill from Brooklyn Hrights.\n\nCheers from H
