is more than knowledge or intelligence—it's the ability to use experience
\, judgment\, and understanding to navigate life's complexities. Wisdom of
ten grows through reflection\, mistakes\, and a willingness to see beyond
our own perspective. It helps us make thoughtful decisions\, understand ou
rselves and others\, and recognize that many questions don't have simple a
nswers. In this discussion\, we'll explore what wisdom means\, where it co
mes from\, and how it shapes the way we live and relate to the world.\n\n1
. What does wisdom mean to you\, and how is it different from knowledge or
intelligence?\n2. Who is one of the wisest people you've known\, and what
made them wise?\n3. Can wisdom be learned\, or does it only come through
life experience?\n4. What life experience has taught you one of your most
valuable lessons?\n5. Have you ever realized you were certain about someth
ing that later turned out to be wrong? What did you learn?\n6. What role d
o mistakes and failure play in developing wisdom?\n7. How do curiosity and
humility contribute to wisdom?\n8. Do you think wisdom comes more from as
king good questions or having good answers?\n9. How do emotions influence
wise decision-making?\n10. How has your definition of a "good life" change
d as you've gained experience?\n11. What is one piece of wisdom you've rec
eived that has stayed with you?\n\nThese are just some of the questions we
will discuss during our meetup. No preparation needed\, just bring yourse
lf and a willingness to listen and share your thoughts.\n\nThe meetup will
be structured in a way to promote small group discussion so everyone has
a chance to listen\, be heard\, and really dive into the discussion.\n\n-
 - - - -\n\nHow our discussions work\n\nEach meetup has a clear topic and g
uiding questions.\nWe stay with them so everyone gets the conversation the
 y came for.\nThis is a reflective discussion\, not a debate.\nThe focus is
understanding and exploration rather than persuasion or winning an argume
 nt.\nWe speak from personal experience.\nSharing is encouraged\; judging\,
correcting\, or speaking over others isn’t.\nWe move one question at a ti
me.\nRelated thoughts are welcome when they support the question we’re exp
loring.\nWe share the space.\nEveryone has a chance to speak\, and no one
is expected to dominate or perform.\nWe listen generously.\nCuriosity\, pr
esence\, and openness matter more than certainty.\nThis is a non-political
\, non-outrage space.\nThe emphasis is on reflection and connection\, not
debate or escalation.\n\nWe'll arrange tables of 6 participants each. When
you arrive\, please gather at the main atrium - we'll be at the tables be
tween big windows and the palm trees. Once enough people are assembled\, I
'll escort each group of 6 to their table to begin the discussion\, and co
ntinue doing this as more participants arrive.\n\nEach table will receive
a sheet containing the topic description and discussion questions. Feel fr
ee to take a photo or refer to the event page to have your own copy handy.
\n\nThe official event time is from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm\, but some of us st
ay longer\, transitioning into informal conversations beyond the topic. Yo
u're welcome to join any other ongoing discussions once your initial group
wraps up and members start leaving.
