 \nDear Backgammon Lovers\,\n\nGiven the beautiful weather and mens' Wimble
 don tennis final\, we had a lovely turnout of 14 backgammoners yesterday.\
 n\nWe'll be returning next to the Civil Service Club that is moments from 
 Trafalgar Square.\n\nSocial & Fun Backgammon at the CSC\n\nWhether you're 
 a seasoned backgammoner or a newbie looking to learn this fabulous game th
 at is thousands of years old\, our social event is open to all.\n\nThis is
  the perfect opportunity to sharpen your game\, and share a laugh (or a lu
 cky double six!) over backgammon. Add in a drink\, maybe dinner\, and you’
 ve got the recipe for a fun and relaxed evening.\n\nVenue Food and Drink\n
 \nJust a little reminder that when we use the Civil Service Club\, we’re a
 sked to buy at least one drink whilst we’re there\, and hopefully food too
 .\n\nThe Club has a nice range of food and snacks on offer\, all at good p
 rices\, so it’s a great chance to relax and make the most of the day.\n\nA
 bout our backgammon social group\n\nOur group has been running for nearly 
 11 years since June 2015 and we have held nearly 500 official backgammon m
 eetings - along with a further 300 off-grid (non meetups) since then.\n\nW
 e are the largest backgammon group in the UK with nearly 2\,500 backgammon
 ers as members.\n\nWhat makes our group special are its members and the wa
 rmth\, humour and friendliness whilst playing this splendid social game ov
 er a few drinks... usually fortnightly\, and on a Sunday.\n\nWe have about
  30-odd regular members who play socially and we very much welcome new pla
 yers too - so do come along.\n\nDinner Time and Drinks and Food\n\nIn betw
 een the rounds of backgammon many of us sit for a meal around 6pm\, but yo
 u can order drinks and food whenever you like.\n\nRSVP\n\nPlease RSVP asap
  - Often I need to provide the Club with an indication of numbers.\n\nBrin
 g your own Backgammon Board - no problem if initially you don't have one.\
 n\nLove seeing the different styles and size of boards - my boards have so
 mehow gotten larger over the years. Please bring your own backgammon board
  and should you not have one please let us know in advance via the Meetup 
 message board so that others can make the effort to bring theirs.\n\nMeetu
 p Fee\n\nI will ask for £4 as the meetup fees etc have increased substanti
 ally over the past year or two. This also assists paying other admin costs
  including Club membership and tips.\n\nOther Games\n\nWe sometimes play o
 ther games in the evening such as Rummikub\, Yahtzee\, and a type of Gin R
 ummy... so ask and watch this space!\n\nEtiquette\n\nJust a quick reminder
 - it’s always nice to say thank you to the staff at the CSC when you can.\
 n\nLet’s also keep things warm and friendly with each other and enjoy this
