SUMMARY:Board Games in the Park
LOCATION:Concord Community Park
DESCRIPTION:Saved in Palaner as: saved\n\nPalaner match: 42% · why: lots of
  people going · good weather for it\n\nThis is an outdoor tabletop gaming 
 event. Free to attend\, all are welcome.\nWe will be bringing an assortmen
 t of about 30-40 games that work well outdoors (see list below). Most are 
 windy-day-friendly - meaning they either don't have any cards\, or minimal
  cards. We have extra dice to weigh things down if needed\, to minimize th
 e risk of things blowing away in the wind.\nYou're welcome to bring your o
 wn games\, but we recommend games with few or no cards so they don't blow 
 away.\nThe event runs from noon until sunset or approximately 9:00pm\, whi
 ch is when the park closes (whichever is earlier). Some people come for th
 e whole time\, others just for an hour or two. You're welcome to drop in a
 nd stay as long as you would like.\nIn case of poor weather\, we will canc
 el the event with as much notice as possible.\n\nTransportation:\nThe park
  is right across from the Main St./Science World Skytrain Station. For tho
 se who are driving there's plenty of pay parking close by.\n\nSuggestions 
 to bring:\n- Water\n- Food (There are some close quick options - McDonald'
 s\\\, Triple O's takeout window\\\, etc)\n- Sun protection (sunscreen\\\, 
 hat\\\, sunglasses).\n- Hand sanitizer\n\nOther stuff:\n\nYou are welcome 
 to come on your own\; there are a few volunteers who can help people get i
 nto groups\, and teach games if needed.\nIf any of the games are missing p
 ieces\, the dry-erase markers aren't working\, etc\, please let one of the
  volunteers know. We usually have extras.\nIf anyone is being a jerk\, ple
 ase let a volunteer know. Sometimes people just aren't aware of their jerk
 iness\; sometimes they need to be booted.\nPlease keep an eye on your pers
 onal belongings. The organizers and volunteers are not responsible for los
 t/missing items.\nPhotos and/or videos may be taken throughout the event -
  usually wider shots of numerous people\, like the poster above. If you do
 n't want to appear in any photos or videos\, please let us know when you a
 rrive and we will try to not include you\, though we can't guarantee it.\n
 Washrooms: There are several port-a-potties within the park. If you prefer
  a "real" washroom\, with running water\, the closest one is about a 5-10 
 minute walk\, at Andy Livingstone Park\, right next to the tennis courts.\
