After work ing in Tokyos music scene\, she moved to New Orleans in 2006\, where she q uickly became an active part of the citys musical community\, performing w ith artists such as the late Marva Wright\, Benny Turner\, Leo Nocentelli\ , George Porter Jr.\, Vasti Jackson\, and many others.In 2014\, she joined the international collective Playing For Change Band\, touring more than 20 countries and performing with artists including The Doobie Brothers\, L ittle Feat\, and Ellis Hall. Today\, she leads her own projects\, includin g the KJD Trio and Komaki Soul\, while continuing to perform regularly acr oss New Orleans in clubs\, residencies\, and events such as WWOZ Piano Nig ht.
